The Town of Little Compton is governed by a five member Town Council. The members are elected at a general election to a two-year term. The President of the Council is chosen from among the five members and serves as the chief executive of the Town.

Normal meetings are held the first Thursday after the first Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. and two weeks thereafter at 7:00 p.m. on the 2^nd Floor of the Town Hall.
