The Board of Tax Assessors performs all of the duties and discharges the responsibilities of Tax Assessors as is set forth in State law. These duties include the assessment of the value of properties within the Town and the determination of the amount of property taxes due from property owners.

Assessors are elected to 6-year terms at a November General Election. The terms of the members are staggered with the term of one member expiring and the election of one member at the general election in each even numbered year.
